Here are the key takeaways from our Calgary survey
In early October, we asked Calgarians how they plan to vote in this month’s mayoral election:
- Since our previous poll in mid-September, Jeromy Farkas has seen his support drop from 34% to 25%, while Sonya Sharp has moved into second, rising six points to 16%.
- Farkas and Sharp are the only two candidates to show notable shifts, as their respective decline and rise fall outside the survey’s margin of error.
- Jyoti Gondek fell one point to 14% in the latest survey, while Jeff Davison dropped two points to 12%. Brian Thiessen was the only other candidate to see his support rise, doubling to 6%.
- Just under a quarter of Calgarians remain undecided heading into early voting.
Methodology: This IVR survey was conducted from October 2-4, 2025, with 726 Calgarians randomly selected to participate. The margin of error associated with this survey is ±3.6% (19 times out of 20).
