- If an election were held today, 43% of Calgarians would support Nenshi’s NDP, while 41% would support Smith’s UCP.
- Naheed Nenshi remains well-liked in Calgary, with 48% of Calgarians holding a favourable view of the former mayor. Another 30% have a negative opinion of Nenshi.
- Premier Danielle Smith finds herself underwater, with 47% of Calgarians holding a negative view of her, and only 29% having a positive opinion.
- Nearly half of Calgarians (49%) say that Nenshi would be the better choice to bring stability to Alberta, while 4-in-10 say that Smith is the better choice.
- Around 44% of Calgarians say they would be more likely to vote for the NDP with Nenshi as leader of the party, while 35% say it makes them less likely to vote for the NDP.
Methodology This live caller telephone survey was conducted from July 27 to August 20, 2024, with 834 Calgarians randomly selected to participate. The margin of error associated with this survey is ±3.4% (19 times out of 20).
